Our Mission is to honor the living legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by convening the Akron community for a dynamic weekend of education, celebration, and service. We exist to bridge the gap between dialogue and action, connecting generations and organizations to co-create sustainable solutions for public safety, mental health and community well-being.

We envision a unified Akron where the principles of power, love, and justice are not just celebrated, but embodied—creating a city where youth voices lead the future, public safety includes mental well-being, and every citizen is empowered to make change.

We believe in elevating student and young adult voices to shape the future of Akron alongside seasoned leaders.

Deliberate Action

We move beyond performative celebration to "Day of Doing" service and ongoing collaborations that yield tangible results.
